When we go to 1st year, after the 12th , the system of engineering is very new (i.e the rules, college hours, new place, subjects, lectures, language).  We don't know much about the environment and how it works and it is not our comfort zone at first.  So, we tend to resist to new changes happening in our life. It becomes difficult to digest the new schedule and routine in college. And this is very normal and it is human tendency to resist.
