Which year of engineering is the toughest?

Which year is the toughest? There is no toughest year in engineering. It's all about getting used to engineering life. When we go to 1st year, after the 12th , the system of engineering is very new (i.e the rules, college hours, new place, subjects, lectures, language).  We don't know much about the environment and how it works and it is not our comfort zone at first.  So, we tend to resist to new changes happening in our life. It becomes difficult to digest the new schedule and routine in college. And this is very normal and it is human tendency to resist. This happening take away focus from studies and shift it into life and adjusting to the new environment(automatically studies become second concern after peace of mind and studies score reduce). The subjects in the 1st year become difficult of it's new pattern of studying and writing answers, new methods of marks assessment, new engineering subjects, the system of internal and external exams.  The second year is...

7 Ways To Be Productive

"Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning, and focused effort.” ~ Paul J.Mayer

You might wander if being productive and working non-stop hours then you are wrong . Being productive means to conplete a task in an hour which would take you two hours. I've always had it rough when ot comes to being productive. After +2 , I felt my life needed to improve.  I was always scrolling through social media sites and would leave the things I needed to do behind. Throughout my life I've learnt many productivity tips and I wanna share these tips for maximum productivity.

Tip 1 : Work in a peaceful and organized place
Normally ,when there's a lot of noise coming to your workplace you cannot concentrate enough. You'd possibly want to shift to a different room where you can work quietly. Also when you have your workspace disorgnized you won't have any motivation to finish your task.

Tip 2 : Remove any distractions
The most distracting item is your phone. It probably takes up all your time. It is a productivity killer. Turn off all the notifications. You can put your device in 'Do Not Disturb' mode or maybe leave your phone in a different room.

Tip 3 : Use Pomodoro Technique
You've probably heard this many times about this technique. This technique was invented by Francesco Cirillo. The main focus of the pomodoro technique is to breakdown your task into 25 minute time blocks. After one session is over , take 5 minute break. After completing about four pomodoros, you can take a 15-20 minute break.

Tip 4 : Use a To-do-list
Some of us struggle in doing our work while some of us struggle with figuring out what is needed to be done. To do list is one of the most effective tools to be productive. It'd allow you to have an outline of things you need to complete by the end of the day. Studies have shown that people tend to perform better when they have written down what they needed to do.

Tip 5 : Exercise
You know the time when you wanted to finish a certain task and you were just starting and you feel a wave of laziness. We've all been there. Do some kind of exercise like stretching, pushups or pullups to make your blood pumping.

Tip 6 : Meditate
Meditation is a habitual process of training your mind to focus and redirect your thoughts. It helps to increase your focus. Meditation helps to all the negative thoughts. Studies have shown benefits of meditation,  some of them being better sleep, reduces anxiety not to mention it boosts your memory as well. There are a lot of ways you can meditate which you can find online.

Tip 7 : Sleep
Humans need 7-8 hours of sleep to perform at their highest level. But some can perform well even when having 5-6 hours of sleep. You need to find the perfect amount of yourself. Do not use your electronic devices 1-2 hours before bed because it releases blue light which is harmful for your eyes and sleep. Sleep in a colder environment.

Honourable Mentions:

Drink a lot of water to keep yourself hydrated.

●Fix a time when you'll be the most active and do most of your work in that time.
●Avoid sweet foods before working because it makes you sleepy.
